The Accidental Entrepreneur

I would be considered “an accidental entrepreneur”. I never had a thought of becoming an entrepreneur. As a matter of fact, I was raised by two factory workers who impressed upon me to go to school…and get a job with a great company where I could spend twenty-five or thirty years and retired with my pension.

Sounds great, doesn’t it?

However when my youngest son, Christopher was born, my then husband and I made the decision that I would go back to work. You see I was the primary breadwinner. Well…one day I went to pick Christopher up from the daycare only to find that his lip was busted and his face was bruised and keep in mind he was only six months old.

Defining Moment

That was the moment that I “decided” to become an entrepreneur and now almost 17 years later I am more clear than ever that I am un-employable and I could never work for anyone.

Although committed…I must say that the road to entrepreneurship wasn’t an easy journey to find.
